This extremely popular show was the winner of four 1986 Outer Critics’ Circle Awards including Best Off-Broadway Musical. It is not a play, but a portrayal of a variety show put on by five members of  the little sisters of Hoboken convent as a fund raiser.  It has been lauded by audiences of all types,   including Roman Catholics.  Most audiences will be surprised, but not offended by some of the worldly-wise humor and slapstick antics of these more-or-less holy sisters.

The show is based around twenty-two wonderful musical numbers connected by lively dialogue, skits, and subplots. At various steps along the way, an incredible history of this convent unfolds to the audience's delight, including the reason they must put on this fund raiser in the first place.  The New York Times called it "A hail of fun and frolic! Wacky and outrageous with a hysterical anything-goes sense of fun!" 

  Jack von Behren and Carol Wilcox Schein, have collaborated previously on several very popular musical comedies
