FIDDLER ON THE ROOF is one of Broadway's most classic musicals because of its radiant score and universal theme of tradition. The story takes place in 1905 in a small Russian village called Anatevka. Tevye, a poor milkman, and his wife, Golde, enlist a matchmaker to find husbands for their three eldest daughters. To Tevye's disbelief, each daughter finds a husband on her own. Tevye struggles as his world, literally as well as figuratively, comes to an end. Director, Carole Vasta, remarks, "This show packs powerful messages - from the struggle to raise our children in changing times to the prejudice and intolerance that continues in our world today, FIDDLER speaks to us with deep humanity, wisdom and humor."

Here is what your fellow theatre goers think of this show. What
do you think?
| This was an awesome musical. Definetly the best musical I
have ever seen. The song were great. The actors (and actress') were awesome and Made it
really easy to start to feel the way the characters felt about the entire story. Definetly
a recommendation for all to see. My favorite actress was Ashley Nease who played Hodel. In
the seen where she leaves to go get Perchik (Jed Baker) out of jail you felt so bad for
her I wanted to cry. My favorite actor was Jed Baker who played Perchik . He looked like
he was having so much fun doing this play. He really got into the character. This play
made you laugh, cry, and want to jump up and yell at some of the characters. All should
see. Anonymous |
Once again Carol and her production crew, the local actors,
and the talented musicians have created an incredible show. I am always amazed at what
they can accomplish on that small stage. The dance numbers, especially the bottle dance,
were awesome. John Springer-Miller was Tevye! Dean Burnell was Motel! The rest of the cast
was superb! Ashley Nease sang beautifully and it was heart-wrenching. I laughed and I
cried and wanted to go back for more. Congratulations and thank you for giving us a great
performance! Anonymous |
